Abstract Garden by Christa Watson for Bernatex includes 40 2.5" strips. This line was inspired by Christa's love for gardens designed with abstract geometric designs.
"For Abstract Garden, the theme I chose for myself was “Modern Floral” and I drew so many different floral shapes, I can’t even count. I threw in some geometrics for a bit of interest, and by the time I was done, none of the florals stayed, and the bright, funky geometrics were perfect for the look I was trying to achieve.
Part of the fun of designing a fabric line is naming the prints and weaving in their story, even if the end fabric user knows nothing about the inspiration behind it. For any of my fabric lines, I want them to be interchangeable with my earlier work, so you can mix and match prints from any collection and they will still look great. (My first two groups were named Modern Marks and Fandangle, which all have their own stories, too!) With each new line, I try to bring in something new and fresh that wasn’t there before. For Abstract Garden, I was able to add purple and also four low-volume pastels that add a touch of sparkle when combining them with the more saturated hues." - Christa Watson
